It was properly scary. I still have no idea what that was all about, for about 2 miles just all this freaky stuff going on. I googled the village name when i got home and couldn't find anything on it.

People do strange stuff.

We have a village near us that used to have a scarecrow weekend in August (I can't remember the name of the village now) - it was brilliant - they were on the bench as you drove into the village, in the pub garden, in the school playground, on the post office roof, in front gardens in boats etc. It was brilliant - they stopped it a couple of tears ago - I've no idea why as it was a really fun thing to see/do.

I have recently begun making cards, but haven't sent any out yet.  I am making some Easter ones.  To see how they go.  I think it's something that women do when they hit 45 LOL.  Some of my RL friends and internet friends and penpals never used to do it but now they do, after hitting mid 40s...  Can't do dressmaking or toymaking though: I'm not good enough .....

Oh dear Sparkles, I find the concept of card making a dead bore....and I'm past 50.

I can see it now....spare room full of sticky-back-plastic and empty washing up bottles, couple of glue sticks and some bags of glittery stuff.

See....I watched Blue Peter too.

Thank you everyone Yeah, i was pleased with it and it got it out of me (if you know what i mean , i was itching to make it).

I know what you mean about paper and boxes, i can never throw away gift bags or bows and that sort of thing. Nanny gyps is the same so every xmas you sort of recognise a bow / ribbon that you are sure you have given someone in the past

But I like the idea, like the yarn thing that people just do random stuff.

I've seen them too, Gyps.  When you're travelling through the New Forest and the eastern side of Dorset it can get pretty spooky!
