Thanks for the good wishes everyone - and the lovely Moomin pressies!! I had a lovely day. We went to Hull to spend the day with our son (arranged before I found out about his melanoma). I must say Hull gets very bad press, and like every city it has its bad bits, but I really liked the area round the Marina and the city centre has some nice architecture. We will definitely be returning so we can see the museums - I want to see the William Wilberforce museum.
