Has anyone here been?  I'm off there in May for 2 weeks and hoping some of you have been before and can give me a few pointers on where to go and what excursions to take/avoid.  I'm going with my OH and 2 boys aged 5 and 10 so hopefully there are some fun filled things to do?  Also it's the 5yr olds birthday while we're away so any ideas on where to take him as a treat?  Aaaaand....the OH and I will have our '11 years since we met' anniversary whilst there too and want to do something nice BUT it has to include the kids aswell as no way would we consider using the hotel babysitting service.  Do bars in Turkey mind if kids are there in the evenings?  I don't mean I want to go on a bender but would like to have a nice meal out somewhere then sit somewhere nice with a cocktail and some entertainment.

I think I'm gonna burst with excitement!!

Ohhh I been there ... Well I stayed in Bodrum but as there isnt a beach there we used to go to gumbet for some sand and sea. There is also lovely beaches at nearby at turgutreis, which has grown into a coastal town.

So if you need a change you are in an ideal location to explore both bodrum and turgutreis. Bodrum is a lovely cosmopolitan part of turkey. Anything goes, Its got lovely markets and historic sightseeing by day, and by night its buzzing with night-life, clubs and shows.  Kids are welcome in all the bars and restaurants in Turkey, so no need to worry.

Id visit Ephesus, you cant not visit there if you go to Turkey and also you got to do one of the  turkish nights, they do good ones in Bodrum, they usually include all you can eat food and drink. The food is delicious!
