Derek Chisora was all mouth- Same as David Haye on how he was going to win -The Klitchco,s know this and welcome the gobs from the west. They will retire unbeaten The heavyweight division has long since gone since there are no longer any decent heavyweight Yanks.

We were unfortunate enough to be in the Fatherland when the Germany scratta papers were telling people about how klitschko was going to knack Lennox Lewis. The rest is history. Unless I imagined it. I'm not an expert.

Shocking behaviour. 

Chisora and his manager have been arrested, and police in Munich are looking for Haye.

I'm disappointed that Chisora had so much energy left after losing his World Heavyweight title challenge!

 

The hype generated by his controversial behaviour merely disguises the fact that he has now lost 3 of his last 4 fights and isn't good enough at title level.

Who'd have thunk it but Frank Maloney made a good response today:

"If you're going to act like Mike Tyson then you should learn to fight like Mike Tyson"

 

(I presume he's referring to Tyson in his heyday)

If Chisora doesn't get a ban for his behaviour then it's clearly a set-up. Disgusting scenes......both Chisora and Haye acting more like gang members than sportsmen.

Back in the day it would have been an automatic ban. Boxers weren't allowed to get into fights outside of the ring no matter what the provocation.

As for Haye, he's a WUM and KNEW how to goad Chisora; knew exactly what he was doing but didn't quite like the response he got.  All mouth trying to muscle in on getting a bout with Chisora.

I wonder was it a set up. I won't be surprised if they fight each other in the ring next. Its about the only hope either has of winning a fight.

I don't think that boxing has the appeal that it had when I was a child. For once I'm going to be a cynic and agree that the news item has an air of exaggeration with a view to publicising a pisspoor sport.

IMO of course. I know some of you like boxing but for me it doesn't have the appeal that it had in the days of Liston, Clay (Ali), London, cooper et al.

You're right Joe, the sport isn't what it was   I lost interest years ago.

Maybe if they united all of the councils and just had one champion per weight. For what I know they might have by now, but it certainly lost wood when they had so many different set-ups.

Yep.  It was ok when it was just the WBC and WBA, but I couldn't tell you the names of half of the so-called ruling bodies nowadays. 

 

Gone are the days of strong championship unification fights like Monzon vs Valdez.

 

 

And what with the brandishing of a camera stand, I'd say that Haye's as disgusting as Chisora when it comes to lack of social graces.
