I googled the beginning of the error message Aims...  & it seems you are not alone... there are loads of people with the same problem.

However, normally when these things happen there's a solution or fix posted & I can't find one.

It does seem to be spyware or web page hijacking..    but god knows why its only happening to you & not your daughter...

I'll keep having a ferret around see if I can find anything thats of more help

just gotta take the dog out for a walk first...

I don't get either why daughters is ok but not mine, it went funny a while ago saying i had last logged in at 2.30am near London  daughter sorted it that time but she doesn't know how to this time 

Aimee, have you tried emailing facebook direct? If your daughter can get into it perhaps she can use the contact button to talk to them as I bet you're not the only one having this problem.

I've had a quick look on the net. Do you and your daughter have different settings when you log on? Are you using Google Chrome? If so, try accessing FB through IE.

I'm on Google Chrome, i'll go and try it on IE 

I have no idea what Settings Daughter uses, i'll get her too try and get into it when she comes home

The http bit at the start of the address has a red line through it, i've tried different web adresses for FB through google and it still won't let me in 

Aimee, as you are using Chrome, this link goes to a forum page on chromium where this problem is currently being investigated. It is very technical but in due course they should provide a solution.

As Veggie says, use a different browser to see if that helps.

I've read all the link and didn't understand most of it but it doesn't seem i'm alone, do i have to try and fix it myself or is it something that will be corrected?

Aimee, there's a new posting on that link - someone downloaded a free version of malwarebytes, ran it, got rid of a whole lot of malware stuff, and is now able to login on Facebook.

Note that I've never used malwarebytes so can't say how good it is.

I've used malwarebytes...  it is good.

The only problem I had was that the malware we had detected it and would stop it running...  I had to run it in safe mode in the end.

When it's sorted I would recommend setting Facebook to 'secure mode' in the settings (if you haven't already) It makes it a lot harder for people to mess around with your account!
