That bit has astonished me too, tbh.  I've seen so much worse here over the years but the fact that was the first one to be locked for ages by being reported is depressing. And *adopts adult stance on this* it is ridiculous Lori has to spend her own free time moderating that sort of nonsense in order to be fair is ludicrous. In most other forums it would have been shut down way earlier if it was reported.

Seriously. it's crap like this that may make me walk away amidst rolling my eyes..No great loss I know, but, if I ever choose to bail out, it'll probably not be 'cos I'm brown bread, or 'cos i give a crap about who is slagging me off somewhere else and making fun of my posts, it'll be because I think that the whole thing has become so judgemental, angry and futile. Secondly, it was a couple of reports, and only because it seemed to be getting personal, which, as you know, can blow up in 60 seconds around here. No one is being judgmental, and none of the reports came off that way. Concerned about other people's feelings being hurt? Yes. Concerned about the health and well-being of the group? Most certainly. But definitely NOT judgmental.

 

If I ever said "several" reports, I'm so sorry, because it definitely WASN'T several.

 

I certainly hope no one walks away over this.

If you ask me, which you didn't,reporting threads/posts because of  hurt feelings, is subjective,I've been called unpleasant names on here.Which would easily be described as  hurtful, but would it ever cross my mind to report it?

jb *shaking head with you* I have never reported anyone or any thread ever on this forum and that applies to CH4 forum too,some are very quick to press that button and that is part of the reason I personally dont like report buttons,I am sure they are needed but also sure they can be abused.

I think it's safe to say this now It reminds me muchly of the old days when a couple of kids might have a scrap. (there were no knives in my day) parents would become involved and completely fall out. Meanwhile the kids would forget it and carry on as normal. No doubt as we all fall out life has returned to normal for Denise and Tim in their posh environment. MM is back in obscurity and the twins? Who knows? WGAF anyway?
