All ours are plain, clear glass. I generally drink the pink sparkly wine out of flutes, it tastes better that way. (I've gone off wine lately cos I'm feeling the mojito vibe though) And then we have small & large wine glasses, which I generally use for port. Both sizes get used, depending on what mood I'm in, how many calories I've left (eat-what-you-want-Saturdays excluded, of course) and how much I wanna drink Hope this helps cheers!

Blimey Lee, I'd  be frightened to get the Waterford ones out  I've got some Waterford glass ornaments that mam got from peeps at work when she retired and I'm almost frightened to handle them to clean them

I've got Edinburgh Crystal ones (wedding present) - they've been up the loft for 30 years because we're too frightened to use them.

In all honesty i think you should use them and enjoy them. I don't believe in stashing things away because they're valuable. Get them out ............if you only use them on special occasions OK - but you really should use them and enjoy them IMO.

If they get broken c'est la vie..................far better than being in a dark dust attic and then your kids use/abuse them when you're gone!

GET EM OUT!

I kind of agree with Soozy on this (contrary to my previous post) If it's in a controlled situation like a dinner party, I guess it should be fine

Not when you're married to an Irish version of Frank Spencer,if I go away without him he is told in no uncertain terms NOT to dare touch anything he can break or damage.I could write a book on the things he's broken and damaged over the years, and the lengths he's gone to to hide the fact.

I'm afraid to answer now coz then you'll know I'm not very posh

I've only got one wine glass  I'm the only one who drinks wine though so why would I need any more?  It gets worse...... it's a big plastic one that I bought in B&M Bargains for Β£1.49.  It holds way too much wine  Its got a nice summery pattern on it though

Classy

Sounds quite lovely! I really am not bothered if anyones posh or not - we're all the same on here. As long as you enjoy it - that's what matters IMO
