they perhaps will not harm them other than strain. Cheapo eyeglasses are terribly inconsistent and they make your eyes have to work pretty hard because of it.
You only are born with one set of eyes, and you cannot replace them. It's bad enough getting used to wearing glasses, but why treat your one set of eyes poorly? save up your coins and get good ones when you can.
i really cannot affor specsavers
So true, that.

If you mean cheap frames, then no Sandra..... I've worn glasses (full time) for over 50 years and never spend a lot on the frames. As long as the lense prescription is correct they will be fine But they do take a bit of getting used too
thanks all i have 3 years ( ha ha ) till i retire or get tax credits pfft then i can get designer ones lol i was just wondering if cheapo ones were harming my eyes
oh lol i do not get a cup of tea never mind glasses
Cheap frames do nothing to hurt your eyes.
Cheap lenses will make them work harder.
I got good lenses inside cheap frames, this time around and will do the same for the next glasses.
thank you all but i have been self diagnosing since i got my prescription glasses , the price was ridicolous and i do need them for reading lol my arms are not long enough , but i will need to check price of lenses , thing is my optician wont tell me what i need
i never got that option , she more or less said to me , right which one are you going for ?
you are correct
obviously they like you to buy from them so they get the profit but the prescription is yours after the eyetest to take wherever you want to get the glasses
if they are for reading only chances are you may be lucky and the strength you require may be available from lots of places including the ÂĢ1 a go jobbies
until our last test when we were both recommended to wear all the time and we changed to varifocles my Oh used to wear his optician ones for home and buy cheapos for work as he was always losing or damaging them but he just has to be careful now with only the one pair
Thats what Money saving expert says to do, then find one of these http://www.goggles4u.co.uk/?_k...vR-a0CFdQTfAodfSEAuQ not sure how you get them adjusted to fit though

I did that for my first few pairs of glasses and it was fine, treated myself to a designer pair last time and although it's a big outlay at the time, the 'cost per wear' had probably worked out relatively cheaply. Mind you, my prescription hasn't changed for about 10 years, so I can keep them until I'm bored with them Going for my first ever contact lens consultation on Sat, fancy getting those coloured ones so I can change my eye colour for a change
I really thought this thread was going to be about facial piercings

Me too! I was quite surprised Although, on the topic of piercings, I saw a girl on the tube today who had a barbell piercing in the back of her neck

That is odd, she must catch that all the time when doing hair/getting dressed/putting coats on.

Mine gets worse every year Not a whole lot worse but usually enough to have to change the prescription slightly. The coloured lenses are great, I used to have the sapphire blue ones for nights out.
The cost of glasses are ridiculous these days, I wear mine most days so I I've ended up shelling out a small fortune for the one pair that I have......I really should get a cheaper pair for when I'm at home though.

I keep my old ones for at home use
Got my first eye test booked for next Monday
Short-arm syndrome.
I've got to properly start wearing glasses now and need to buy new ones ......I've no idea what shape frames will be ok...... my friend told me that the last pair made me look like a wee old lady from the '70's I had thought they looked fine until she pointed it out ...... she was right!
I bought my lenses from an online place http://ciliaryblue.com/ I just used an old pair of frames I had! It was a fair bit cheaper than it would have been from an optician.
