OOOh Lee.x Well done you! I remember when the Bank were recalling the 20p a couple of years ago we were all checking like mad, but to no avail.
I'm shocked tbh Sezit, had to register with The London Mint Office who are buying them for ÂĢ100,I think I'll just keep it for my grandson ,Mr C was in fits laughing,he said the odds of someone reading about it today checking and finding one in their purse is freaky.
Bugger thought I'd found one but it is'nt one of the 2008 ones....

Is it one of the older ones with date on back?...Keep looking Stonks, trust me if I found one it's possible for anyone
The date on the newer ones is up at the top right in full, the older ones have the date split on either side.I though I had one too.
Oh my goodness, I've got a big 'sweetie jar' full of coins and now I'll be forced to go thru the
lot.
I love your Sig Lee. Strangely enough I came upon it recently and wrote it down to read in my down moments.
I just tipped my big sweetie jar out ... Nada

Katty check this link out,it will show you what one it is,btw got an email back for the Mint,in one sense trying to play down the rarity of the coin, making me a *Very special offer* of ÂĢ100 and an exclusive offer to apply for the National Emblems Britannia Penny ,The usual release price is ÂĢ39.95 but as I am an undated 20p registrant you can apply to own it FREE,no thank you,I'll be keeping my undated 20p coin

My sig did give me food for thought when I was going through a really bad spell 2 years ago,it was very apt.

It was the only 20p I own Lee......wish they'd make some mistakes with the euro....
Lee well done
Well done!
(ION news I've gone through everyone's stash and found nowt)
My dad has one of those, it was on the news around the time they realised but they were only going for about ÂĢ50 on ebay so he kept it. I'll have to tell him he can get ÂĢ100 now
TY everyone. Now get looking for a 2p pence ,date is 1983,on reverse its says New Pence instead of Two Pence, has to be 1983 though, one of these fetched ÂĢ600 at auction recently.

it's worth ÂĢ100?
Only if it's not got a date on it I think JB... i got all excited when I found one too (I didn't have my specs on and couldnt' see the date to start with)
no date on it.
i hate you
seriously?
i read on, so i'll keep it till it's worth more.
I had about 10 this morning, but paid for my coffee with some of them.
bugger it.
jammy sod
or maybe not
muhahahaha
not 10 ÂĢ100 ones, 10 ordinary one.
s
how do you know though.. you might have given 10 away..you didn't know what to check for then did you?
Well done JB,I'm not selling mine London Mint initially offered ÂĢ50 to buy them now it's ÂĢ100,despite them trying to play down the rarity of them the facts speak for themselves.
