Yes.... glamour.seems like a pre-requisite for judges nowadays....... I would much rather have judges who are actually experts....

I just hope Alesha doesn't live to regret it, Simon Cowell can be ruthless if he decides you're not working out on the show.

Rumours are that Cowell is paying Alesha £350,000. Alesha always had ambitions outside of Strictly and Cowell must have approached her at some point while SCD was still on as she was out of contract after the final, so free to continue discussions at that point and the BBC only knew a few days about her decision before the news was broke. Oh well I wish Alesha well.

As for SCD job as much as Karen Hardy annoys me she'll get the job but I see the show as Saturday night entertainment and not a serious competition . I don't think the BBC will jeopardise the high ratings of this year for next series by making drastic changes so I still see the performances being key...

I find it so bloody annoying how some SCD fans an on the net take the show so seriously and call for people to be sacked left right and centre because there would be nobody left if they were in charge and the continous negativity sometimes grr.

Well the entertainment industry is fickle and Alesha knows that her career won't last forever, she is 33 and doesn't have any children at the moment so is able to focus fully on her work. People in RL leave jobs for where there is better money but not on that scale of course.
