I was really fed up with my ultra lazy boss, and shortly before I was due to start maternity leave, I hid four kippers behind the filing cabinet in his office.  It was the August bank holiday weekend, and it was exceptionally hot. He was on leave on the Friday, and I hid the kippers on the Thursday evening so they had four days to swelter.  When I went into work on the Tuesday morning, they had called in a company to fumigate the whole floor because the smell was so bad.  Unfortunately I had forgotten that I was due to be interviewing for my replacement that day in my boss' office

Well said.  'Hatred' and 'getting back at people,' is simply a waste of energy and time, and it shows you still care about them or that you still think about them, (and that they are bothering you...)  So just get in with your life, ignore them and be happy.

Also I have found that another good way to deal with people who have done wrong by you or upset you, is to completely ignore them, like they don't even exist.  Works wonders.  Even if they TRY to wind you up, IGNORE THEM.  I have experienced several people who I have cut dead, getting irked because of it, and it makes me laugh because I know I got to them.  And because they are getting nothing back from me, they hit a brick wall .....  because much to their frustration, they can't continue the argument or even try and smooth it over, because once I cut someone off; they're dead to me.

I'm not proud

I had to laugh at this comment because I personally get irritated by people who cannot leave their mobiles alone. I can go hours without checking mine and can't understand why some of my colleagues and friends check theirs every few minutes. I have one friend who checks hers every few minutes - I think it's now an unconscious habit rather than a real need.

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities

I'd love to have the time and the patience but I'd get bored.

I don't believe in karma but it would be nice if it did exist. Then I could really look forward to payback for some people.

I was nastily happy yesterday when my loathsome office colleague lost out on booking his 2012 Christmas leave because others got in first (not me) and spent all afternoon with a face like a smacked arse. I'm not proud that I relished it.Well - mebbe just a bit.

Me too! I'm a Scorpio Ox (Eastern and Western astrology) and apparently there is no sign more vengeful.

That being said, you have to really hurt me for me to be bothered, Most things I just let go because they're not important
