I saw it a few years ago and I hated it. It's comedic value was to 'slapsticky' sort of stuff for me.

I liked Bob Newhart though.

Yessssssssssss...   Great film, great actor.

And regardless of what's on the tv I always watch To Kill A Mockingbird.

It's not Christmassy in the slightest but I absolutely LOVE it:

"Jean Louise. Jean Louise, stand up. Your father's passing".

There are only two .............ooooooh no three films that I'll watch whenever they are on.

Cabaret

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

DrZhivago

And possibly Ryans Daughter!

Yes and Yes.  The other 2 I'm not so fussed about.  I have to watch any of the Godfather trilogy regardless of having seen them a gazillion times already - and Raging Bull.

I can't watch anything with Jim Carrey in it.  He has a face I want to slap continuously.

That's a great version. I also love the Patrick Stewart/Richard E Grant one which has been on tv for the last few years

Other Christmas themed films I like are Bad Santa and The Nightmare before Christmas.

And, of course, The Snowman and the Raymond Briggs Father Christmas
