*injects any Darnelliians against any poison,* Hello!
Okay, so I've heard back from them. They want me to do an online 'English' test where I need to look for any spelling or grammar mistakes.
I'm genuinely not too bad with English, but now I'm starting to doubt myself. The test is timed and if i pass it, I will be invited to an interview, where I will have to do an even harder test.
*feels sick*
I'll do the online test tomorrow. Think I need to prepare myself before I dive in. Does anyone know of any 'mock' tests, like this, that you can do online?
Hi, Rawky:
Oooo! I LOVE tests!
I googled "English grammar online test" and got this, along with a ton of others: http://www.ego4u.com/en/cram-up/tests
Good luck!!
Thanks Lori. I'm not going to lie, but that website scared me a bit
You'll be fine rawky - it might be an idea to google a site that tells you the 50 most incorrectly spelt words in English *goes off to see if there is one* brb
this is quite good http://grammar.about.com/od/words/a/misspelled200.htm
http://www.esldesk.com/vocabulary/misspelled-words as for the grammar you either know it or you don't I'm afraid sowwy
good luck anyway

DILEMMA!
...of sorts.
So this other agency, that i have applied through, has just gotten back to me. I have to do another English Test but the thing is....its exactly the same test as the one before!!!
What would you do?
Take everyones, corrections on here, to insure that you pass this initial test and get invited to an interview?
OR
Honestly, start from scratch, without using any aids and risk 'failing' again?
Bear in mind that if I do get an interview, I will have to do a 2nd, much harder test, that's monitored.
Go for it with all the help that was offered before. It's not really cheating - you were simply asking for advice.

It'll be touch and go ManFlu is the most deadliest of ailments and much, much worse than anything else in the whole wide world.....
Should you make a miraculous recovery you poor brave soldier , I agree with Gypsie - take it again, And again if needs be until you PASS

I'm going to take it regardless. What I mean Patsy, is should I use all the corrections that everyone else has pointed out? As in should I....y'know, take advantage of the situation?
You should.
Although....what you REALLY should do is to read over this topic again, and then take the test without referring to it...know what I mean? As in, no cheater notes...
you're not taking advantage but learning from the mistakes, and surely this is only revising? something everyone does before an exam
Yes of course you should. It's only common sense to see where you went wrong on a test and then use that knowledge in the future.
And if you get as far as an interview with a test to be taken in front of them; don't worry about it. You can dazzle them with your grammar and gold tie combo.
(I'd ask for a copy of Eats Shoots and Leaves for Christmas though and do some more research)

You're a man - men always take advantage.
Nah, seriously Rawky, do whatever means (fair or foul) that it takes.
If you don't take advantage then you'll never make your own LUCK.
