Wether or not people think that Eileen and I are reading more into his posts than others see is not the issue to me.

For me, the issue is whether we should ignore prejudice when we see it.

And we can all say that we are not a racist/sexist/homophobe etc - doesn't make it true.

We can only judge people by their posts and I have seen enough of them over the years by Poolshark to give me the impression that he has a real problem with women.

Especially young attractive women.

I know you're not advocating a witch hunt Veggie. I rarely post in his threads too, because I don't really have much to add to the ones I've read. They're usually just him saying he's done some housework, what he's cooked or is going to cook, or that he's pissed.

I just think that he is aware of how that language and tone that you mentioned has been interpreted and is attempting to set the record straight here, now. Fair play to him in this instance, at least.

Suzy I'm with you .........sometimes it's all about the language - or the way of phrasing things. TBH - there are female celebs that I go  about - Jodie Marsh, Kerry Katona, Katie Price etc. etc. - I think PS speaks as he does - in a language that is all around him. I really don't think he's mysoginistic .............he sometimes posts in a way that rubs people up the wrong way - speaks before putting his brain into gear - I've done it myself!

We're not all the same - live and let live - I think it's OK to challenge but ........................let's not make a witch hunt ----------------agree to differ and if necessary simply avoid threads that yo know will wind you up.

It's a big forum - we don't always have to agree ....................and people shouldn't be made to feel bad IMO.

But I feel bad now Suzy.

I try not to post in PS's threads because of his language.

I notice that some people seem to get away with saying all sorts of stuff.

Other people don't.

I don't think it is right that women should be called   "dirty slappers" or tosspots.

Well I don't think it's right that anyone should be called that.

BUT I am being made to feel the villain for saying something offends me.

Oooooooooooooooooooooh NO! This is going on and on ............................you are not a villian - you just disagree withh someones POV - fair dues - TBH - I'm not sure where I'm going from here on - I'm not seeing yo as a villian but on the other hand I don't see PS as a mysoginist ..........................an ole gossip yes - and a bit out dated in his vkiews but that's it. No one should be made to feel bad IMO.

Soozy Woo

ok..  Poolie says he's not a misogynist....  people that have issues with things he has posted reply to say they think he is, or they are unhappy with the tone of his posts...  fair enough.

But also fair enough that those of us that haven't thought it to be so, or as in my case, think the things he has posted are no worse than alot of other things I have seen posted (& for the record... I am not a lover of threads hating on anyone) post our thoughts too.

Cos otherwise the impression would be that we all thought he was whatever it is some of you think he is...

Do I ignore prejudice on here?   You know what?  Yeah, sometimes I do.    Are the things I interpret to be prejudiced the same as the things everyone else interprets as prejudice...   Nope, they are not.

I applaud someone pulling someone up on something...  I often can't be arsed....   but sometimes you're not gonna reach a resolve... & thats when you have to do the "not going into that thread" thing

If I really did have a bum like that....

A.  I would NOT be wearing a thong.

B.  I would NOT be letting it be photographed.

C.  I would stop eating.

I'm mostly in the: try to ignore if they're out to 'wind you up' camp, coupled with the 'everyone has a valid opinion' camp.. I do get annoyed by the 'I'm clever/superior to you' camp but then I just roll my eyes tbh....

It'll be lonely but satisfying

The poor sod has just started a thread and gone on record to say he feels no particular hatred for anyone solely based on their gender. Now he'll come back and read that he's either lying about what he said or that he is delusional. I don't know what more he can do really, perhaps a course of therapy to start liking all those female celebs he hates or post some pictures of himself self-flagellating and throwing himself at the mercy of the forum

Or a few pics of 'dirty slappers'....preferably of the 'chavvy' persuasion?

I knew if I waited long enough someone would come along that was able to say what I was struggling to articulate

Way to go Suzy

I don't think it is just you, to be fair. And there's no reason for you to be upset, in the grand scheme of things you shouldn't really give a flying one what he thinks. If you like any of the people that he has a grumble about and you feel strongly then have your say and right to reply then.

It's no good working on assumptions and feelings about something more general like 'he hates all women' when he's actually gone out of his way to say that he doesn't. You're just going to have to simply respect his word on that.

I guess Poolie likes 'nice,' respectable', 'wholesome', semi virginal women' each to their own

Yeah, like most I guess. I quite like nice, respectable and wholesome people too. I don't live in a religious community so I'm not sure if I know too many virginal adults.....but the rest of what you say Poolshark appreciates is hardly remarkable.

And defo each to their own
