"Based around the iconic international airline, Pan Am will fly BBC Two viewers back to 1963 and the dawn of a glamorous new era of luxury air travel.

The series follows the lives of a group of Pan Am pilots and air hostesses as they take to the skies, crossing the globe in a jet-powered, seductive age, shaped by romance, shifting social values and international espionage."

Oh don't be ridiculous, Rawks!    I'll watch anything.      How's your film coming along?

I watched some of a show last night with the real "Pan Am" stewardesses from the sixties. It was very interesting ,they did have a "jet set" life style.Men would actively "court" them, they were seen as good wife material etc. However the pilots weren't all that in their eyes ,they were in the main vets from the second world war, good pilots but not husband material. The pliots were the best technically due to their skills from the war etc .

It all changed when the jumbo jets came on the scene, the girls(older women now) stated it was a culture shock to them, they went from one aisle ,great personal care to five aisles and levels ,less personal care and more catering quickly, also less well off folk were flying too,not so many well off passengers etc.It was quite interesting the way air travel changed.

wonder if it's getting good ratings as it seems surprising that they showed episodes 3 and 4 on Saturday night and the repeat is going to be on Thursday - I hate it when channels switch the times and day early in a programme's run

I actually love it and think it's fun viewing if you don't take it too seriously

As for American Horror story - it is scary in parts but not enough to scare me into not sleeping

I know right Suzy?! I want to walk in formation, it looks like fun! *practices getting hair to bounce* I hear that it's in the middle ground when it comes to ratings in America, let's hope it does well because they often axe shows that I love! Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen in the twilight movies is a future guest star in Pan Am, I cant wait
