Were the others even there? We didn't see them

TBF ...................we didn't see any of them (including Amelia) until the result was announced!

Exactly Suzie, so why not the drama of having all four on the stage to announce the result I wonder?

Well ...................I'm not smelling a fix - for one - what would be the point and secondly ...........it may have been a foregone conclusion - she was after all far and away the best! Maybe they did plan to have them all on stage - the delayed start/power cut may have left them short of time.

Soozy, don't get me wrong, I really wanted to get through and was voting for that and I do think that it was probably a foregone conclusion and that she got by far the most votes. Nor do I think it was a 'fix' but it just seemed very strange to me that they didn't have them all there to announce the result, just doesn't 'fit' with how they normally do things

I honestly think they must have had to re jig everything because of the technical problems at the beginning of the show - they must have lost at least fifteen minutes!

But it finished later than it should have too Suze, think the 'live' programme ran for the scheduled amount of time.

i should imagine all the  4 contenders had been given rehearsal time ,it's been known for days that those 4 would be competing for the place.

I've not watched yet - glad Amelia's got bavk though - she should never have been dropped in favour of that Janet one anyway.      I caught something on a  morning programme the other day with the four of them and I'm sure they said something along the lines of they were all going to be in costume and ready to go but only the winner would go on stage and the other three would just be left all dressed up and nowhere to go.

I smell a rat.

I'm not usually into conspiracy theories, but this one stinks!

Yes, she says v clearly: "I am excited about Amelia coming back" at 7.17 mins in http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/e...Series_10_Episode_4/

Aired on Friday, wonder when it was recorded?

Thanks for posting that Supes ^^^

Well it has now been very strongly confirmed that Amelia knew she was through several hours before the bloomin' lines closed.  I found out at about 7pm last night that it was her, and posted that I had found out, (but didn't say who it was....)  And a few people on here were puzzled as to how anyone could know before ITV had announced it.  And I read on a few places that she was so far ahead that nobody else could catch up...

It's all over the news today.  On the net, and in the papers...  how pissed off some people are that she was the winner before the show started last night!

I am very glad Amelia got through, and I believe that she was genuinely the most voted for, but I have to admit that it was wrong and bad of ITV to get people to keep voting when they KNEW she had already won.  And I have to say that Amelia didn't exactly looked majorly shocked or suprised, and it was as if she had known for a little while.

I watched a piece on BBC Breakfast yesterday where Amelia and her dad were interviewed. There was a lot of talk about Amelia returning, and how grateful she was to have another opportunity on the show - so much so, I wrongly thought she had already been chosen by the public vote.

It would appear that it was a foregone conclusion that Amelia would be going through.

Hmmmmmm, interesting Yogi.  Thank you...   I spoke to my niece about 10 minutes ago, and she was chatting to loads of people on the net yesterday early afternoon, and she said that a number of them seemed to be sure it was Amelia going through.

A rumour filtered through from someone that knew someone that knew someone at ITV, who said at around MIDDAY that she was already miles ahead of everyone else...  So I think as you said, it appeared to be a foregone conclusion.  Was it a fix?  I don't know...  I did get a bit of a feeling though, that it was kind of known that she would get through, a good few hours before last night's show even began.
