Dont get stressed yourself.
Dont fuss him if he doesnt need it.
Turn up the telly a bit more than usual and close all the curtains.
If you can get one of those plug ins from the vet that calms them, plug one in.
Not long to go before the worst is over.
apart from what Gyps posted above there is very little you can do..
turn the telly up & keep them in the front room with you... talk to them, but try not to go OTT (cos it will underpin the idea that there is something to be frightened of)..
We're really lucky.. my dog will watch them from the windowsill if he is up there.. if not he will look up when they start & then just put his head down & Ignore them again. He was a bit manic when he was younger.. but he's fine with them now.
The kitten couldn't give a toss about them...
he jumped in bed last night-he's a big dog, no room, so i ended up sitting downstairs with him, and i bought the two dogs a chippy tea home tonight, the little 'un ate hers, the big sweaty one nearly fainted at the sight of food lol
aww bless him..
my old dog used to be terrible with fireworks & thunder storms.. used to try to protect the household (barking & running around).. but was actually terrified (only time he used to poo in the house)..
its horrible pirate..
i was at an afternoon birthday party, everyone rat arsed, but i came home cos of the dog and now im off for a shower
no doubt followed by a shaking dog

Sorry to hear that Pirate. Our pets are none too fond of it either... Good thing is, that Bonfire night is on a Saturday this year, so ALL the parties and celebrations are on tonight. I just came back from a display half a mile from us, that started half five and the fireworks were half six. It goes on til about 9-ish, but I came home now, to make sure the pets are OK.
My daft Boxer is doing his faultless version of an upside down dog as he lies on his back, paws in the air, whilst the fireworks bang away outside. He's totally oblivious!!
I should be grateful...but I wish he had a brain
I hope your dog doesn't suffer too long Pirate
Milo's been out and barked at the fireworks so I think he's OK - he's annoyed that I've brought him in
I always feel sorry for any birdies and furries that are outside - they must be so scared
The fireworks are freakishly loud aren't they?!
We've tried all sorts including those diffuser things ....unfortunately only drugs make any difference .......we got some diazapam for last night and tonight. I just pray for it to end
I hate fireworks for this reason. My Danny is shaking like a leaf and panting -we are lucky - we don't get many round here cos it's a farming community, but there's still a display at the pub!

Like I said though, luckily it is on a saturday, so I don't think there will be any more after tonight...

Yes, hopefully you're right there Cupcake.
Have you given him a cupboard or a dark room he can go into with the radio or the telly on Pirate
Jade kept running in the conservatory, grabbing a mouthful of food and running back out again to eat it bless her
i was trying to move it inside but she kept rushing up and grabbing more, it was a bit funny too
she is now flat out on the floor, but lifts her head and gives an occasional growl with the big bangs then goes back to sleep again
my cat loves the fireworks and rushes over to the window to watch them he is a bit of a

There was none yesterday Scats, because it was HAMMERING down, so I think everyone is having them tonight... Actually I am sick of hearing them now LOL. I went to a display earlier, and they are still going on and on......
