There's an age gap to be considered here as well. She's very immature, imo, and he's surprisingly immature at times. Now whether that's because he feels the need to 'dumb down' at times to fit in, I do not know (not really that interested tbh).
As far I can tell, the other difference seems to be that Faye's problems are based around her blood family, whereas Aaron's appear to be borne from a marital perspective.
I have noticed that Cosmo, but when anyone mentions the age gap, someone always comes in and says 'but Faye is 22!' Even so, there still seems to be a noticeable age gap. Even though her last boyfriend was 40 (apparently,) Aaron still seems to old for her. Faye is like an adolescent and Aaron is quite old for his age. They do seem wholly unsuited imo and also, they seem to do nothing but argue.
And if she did go out with a 40 y.o., why?! What on earth could someone of about 20 y.o. possibly have in common with someone of 40? I don't think anyone should be dating anyone old enough to be their parent, or young enough to be their child. JMO.
