That's right, I've been left home alone this week so I need to feed myself.  All we really have is bacon and 2 eggs.  Can I do anything special with them, aside from a fried egg and bacon sandwich?

I'm thinking about another attempt at Scrambled eggs, which hopefully won't turn into an omelette that's been broken into smaller pieces again. Cook a slither of bacon then chop it up and mix it in with the scrambled eggs.

But how do i get REALLY creamy scrambled eggs?

Or do you have any other ideas?

Thanks Soozy Poo's, I did know about taking it off the heat before its done. Should I add milk? Or is that a major faux pas?

No .......................milk is essential - beat the eggs and add milk, salt, pepper, a knob of butter (and I always add a pinch of powdered mustard)

chop up the bacon and start to fry...grate some cheese

Can I be dramatic with it, and flounce around my kitchen before I commence the flip?

Well that was a disaster. I should never be allowed in the Kitchen, or attempt to cook something by myself, ever again.

I started off grating the cheese, then added the bacon to the frying pan, it was then I realised I hadn't cracked the eggs.  I cracked the eggs and started to whisk and noticed that the bacon was sticking to the pan, burning it.  Panicking, I ran to the fridge, got some butter, and threw a large lump in.

Then everything seemed to be going ok, except the bacon was now floating in the pan and didn't seem to be cooking. So i thought to myslef "that bacon needs to be on the pan so it can cook", so i went for the 'flip'.   Big Mistake.

It all started breaking up, slopping everywhere, over the pan, onto the hobs and causing a mess.  By the time I plopped this concoction onto my plate, it consisted of rather burnt egg and very pink and raw bacon.

I am now left with a plate of grated cheese as I had forgotten to add it.

Bacon sandwich it is then.

When are you going on Come Dine With Me?. Seriously - you should just stay out of the kitchen - when you're on your own why not stick to takeaways?

Disagree...it really spoils the lovely creamy scrambled eggs........I reckon the milk idea was only introduced to make it go further, but if it's a 'meal' how much are a few good eggs
