Anyone see this this week?  Well that little girl Rachel went (the 13 year old,) and sorry but the reaction when she went was ridiculous!  She proved that it was the correct decision for her to not go any further, because she obviously cannot take rejection and failure.  I think she should go back to school and go back to being a little girl for 3 or 4 years...  and then come back out, because she is very good....  Melanie is still in though, which is FAB, but what is with her new accent?  It's confusing me.  What's it supposed to be?

I think she will win.  She is the only one who I want to win now.

I saw a bit of it the other night Cupcake.  Caught them all doing their first songs and thought they were much better than the UK finalist that we've got this year, although there was one lad who was a bit iffy.  That's the sum total of my viewing experience of the US version

There was a bit of fuss and bother with the young girl..???  It's not as if she'll never get another shot at singing for a career, is it?

She only said to Nicole that it was "Ok" to go to the public vote because she really thought she'd come out on top.  Apart from that, I don't know who to award the Rotten Tomato Oscar to - Nicole or Rachel.  As it is, the US can sleep easy as they won't be having a hosepipe ban any time soon.

I see Simon's had some work done;  he's got that hamster cheek thing going on

Absolutely agree.  And I agree with Erin P, that the audience's reaction to Nicole was disgraceful.  FFS, she only took it to the public vote.

That silly little girl (Rachel,) who got booted out, had the least votes for heaven's sake, and THAT is why she went.

If I were the head of signing acts to a record label, I would be VERY cautious about signing her.  Imagine how she'd react if she doesn't get her own way at some time or other!    Stamping her feet, throwing  her teddy at people!

And also, I wonder what she was on about, when she said 'mommy, you promised, you promised!' What did her mommy promise?    That she would be in the final?  That she would win?  Seems to me like little chickaboo cheeks has her own way a LOT!

The right person went for SURE!  I have two nieces and two nephews 16 and under, and none of them have behaved like that since they were two.

(Sorry for all the smilies BTW: it just seemed like a post that needed a lot.

OMG that girl LOL    The reaction to her on the internet on message forums is pretty cold. I think it has very little to do with her age  - she is as a few people said on the boards on the link below, a bratty little child who is not used to hearing the word no.  She is a good singer but has been grating on my norks for a few weeks now.  Not much pisses me off more than precocious little brats.  She is MAJORLY spoilt.

And I have to say; I am starting to get a bit irritated by Melanie.  She is an amazing talent, but I am getting bored with her little speeches after she sings and how life has been so tough for her and how she is 'keeping it real,' and how she is now being her 'true self.'  Blah blah blah!

LOVE Marcus: he is very humble and likeable.   Josh and the other guy (the rapper,) I can take them or leave them.  I want Melanie to win, but she is starting to annoy me a bit.  Maybe it's just nerves.

Melanies accent is her true accent (Virgin island accent) she learned to hide it to fit in at school but now she refuses to hide who she is anymore.

I wondered where it was that she was from: I missed some of the episode where she said she wants to 'be herself,   I looked up on wiki where she was from.  Good for her for going back to her original accent.  So many people hide who they are and what they are.  She does sound weird when she speaks now, after hearing the America accent for so long.  She is an amazing talent though.
