My parents used to have a box of Roses and a box of Quality Street every Christmas. I liked the Roses ones better:

• Brazilian Darkness - A chewy toffee square with pieces of brazil nuts, coated in dark chocolate (red plastic-foil twist-wrapper with gold twists).

• Cadbury Dairy Milk - One rectangular chunk of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate divided into two squares (classic purple plastic-foil twist-wrapper, bearing 'Cadbury Dairy Milk' and the traditional 'pint and a half' logo). However, this is the only chocolate in the selection where the wrapper does not bear the 'Cadbury Roses' logo - all others do.

• Golden Barrel - Milk chocolate in the shape of half a barrel, filled with caramel (was formerly wrapped in gold foil, now in gold plastic-foil twist-wrapper). Previously named Caramel Keg.

• Caramel Velvet - Cadbury Caramel piece, with added truffle inside (wrapped in green plastic-foil).

• Country Fudge - Rectangular fudge piece, coated in milk chocolate (wrapped in light brown plastic-foil).

• Hazel in Caramel - Crescent-shaped milk chocolate with hazelnut plant engraving on top, filled with caramel and a hazelnut (purple plastic-foil twist-wrapper) (my Dad's favourite)

• Hazel Whirl - Dome-shaped milk chocolate, patterned with spiral twirl, with hazelnut in centre (purple plastic-foil twist-wrapper with orange twists).(my own favourite)

• Strawberry Dream - Square-shaped milk chocolate with strawberry seed engravings on top, filled with strawberry-flavoured cream fondant (pink plastic-foil twist-wrapper).

• Tangy Orange Creme - Square-shaped milk chocolate with orange engraving on top, filled with orange-flavoured creme fondant (wrapped in orange plastic-foil twist-wrapper).

Quality Street because of the toffee penny's and chocolate fingers.

 

They used to have a blue wrapped sweet that was chocolate outside and like a glassy caramel?? inside.  A cracknel or something??  Ahh I can't remember but it was my fav and they took it away

I like both but Roses are my favourite 

I'm a traditionalist - I like quality Street. When I think back to being a child we used to have a really small tin (between the whole family) - it was a real treat when it was opened up and handed round.

 

We now have huge tins of every kind and I bet they don't last as long as that little tin used to.

So you havn't given it much thought then

I don't know - but I have bought a tin of each and will give you feedback (!!) when they are all gone

 Roses - but I only ever eat the orange and strawberry creams

My favourite roses chocolate it hazelnut whirl, and my favourite quality street is the strawberry cream

There's a full tin of quality street strawberry creams on eBay!  

I prefer Roses if they're being brought to the house - when it comes to buying stuff for myself - Bendicks Bitter Mints or Bitter Oranges are the ultimate - such intense flavour you only need a couple ...those were the sweets that helped me lose weight!

Out of the two, i like Roses because Cadburys is my fave choccie, but Q street reminds me of Christmas more...

Roses!! Though, I liked them even more when they used to do coffee creams!!
