They're going to release a greatest hits compilation.  No doubt their army of fans will buy it in their droves but I seriously can't remember a single Westlife song as they're all one big mush of blandness.  Did they cover an Abba song at one time, or was that Boyzone?  I guess the cover versions might stand out but their own stuff (meant in the loosest possible way) has to be the most unmemorable musical wallpaper ever recorded.

Like Carnellian , I can't remember any of their songs! Boy bands may not be my thing, but I could name quite a few Take That songs and acknowledge that Barlow is a good songwriter.  

I was pondering this the other day 'Can a bunch of blokes in their late 30's or early 40's really be called a 'boy' band any more?

I could name a few Take Thats a few Busted, the odd Ronan Keating a few McFly even Five but Westlife?  They've had at least a dozen number ones and sold millions of records been massively successful. OK, I don't keep an eye on the commercial end of pop music as much as I used to but I really don't think there's a single artist that has had the same success as Westlife have had, without me being able to recall any of their music.

I can't really say I hate them, in that sense.

They might as well have not sung at all on any of their records as far as I'm concerned. I honestly can't remember what any of their music sounds like.  They must be the dictionary definition of nondescript.

I'm please they've split up because although I can't recall their music, I can recall their stupid sitting on stools routines.  Plus, their CDs add to the pollution of the planet.

Wow, I can't believe how much I actually really don't care.  They have had FOURTEEN number ones, and yet they are rather non descript and forgettable and generic arent they?  Sad,
