This film has been getting a lot of attention lately.  Some people are screaming that its demeaning to woman and misogynistic.  I say it couldn't be further from the truth, especially the awesomely, shocking, bizarre ending.

I found it a very interesting and clever horror film.  Yes there are some disturbing, grim scenes but it does seem justified in the end. Also, the acting is a little ropey in places.  However, if you're into horror films then give this one a shot.  I promise, whatever you think of it, you'll be talking about it for days on end.

Anyway, I think I'd probably be with the man who voiced his disgust. I don't really care how well a film is written, directed, filmed etc. If it has a sadistic porn element to it, I think it has an effect on society. No likey!

Sorry Blizz, you can't say that without watching it  *clicks fingers and wobbles head side to side with attitude*

The guy completely got the wrong end of the stick with this film. It has one of the most shocking, surprising and weirdly humbling endings to any film I've ever seen.

Besides, there are other ways to criticise a film than standing up and screaming your head off *clicks fingers and wobbles head side to side with attitude again...and throws in a 'mmm hmm'*

Sorry Rawky, but I don't like any use of sexual violence with sadism in 'entertainment', even with an amazing ending. I've seen enough women giving their own accounts of experiences like this, in war zones etc. to know that I couldn't watch a movie about this sort of thing.

Each to their own, but I wish these film makers would take into account that a very, very small percentage of their audience will be getting off on this and could even think about acting out their fantasy.

I prefer the psychological thriller, such as the Duck Horror shown in your avatar!

True, some people could. But then I suppose anyone could get off an anything...people are weird like that.

**Spoiler Warning**

It really is hard to explain that the film isn't really about 'sexual violence' or sadism.  The family in the film are not what you think they might be.  The father and son are the real arseholes here, who are complete misogynists, to all women, even their own flesh and blood.  The mother and 2 daughters show empathy towards 'The Woman' that is chained up in the basement, but are afraid to do anything because of the power that the Father and Son have over them.

As a bloke, I couldn't wait for these 2 to get their comeuppance, which they do, and its just deserved.  Sure the film is gory in places, it is a horror film, but torture porn it is not.

I'll tell you what Blizzie, I'll buy you the Special Edition DVD/Blu Ray for christmas

Duck Horror? .....  *takes notes for my next project*
