Is Grimsby North enough.What time?

I think I am too far down the country..... plus it is very overcast, so  ......

Never seen 'em yet. Doubt I ever will.

Well, seeing as I fell asleep right after downtown, I didn't see any northern lights last night The chances are fairly good over the next few days apparently

It's possible sooz, the further north the better but it's possible anywhere really! They said around midnight- the wee hours I think work should let us have a few days off so we can stay up all night

P.S. What's Grimsby near?

Hull. Lincoln. Cleethorpes - it's on the coast.

Oh I've been to cleethorpes! Right gotcha, erm.. I think that may be a little too far south but if the lights are strong I dare say it's been seen from there at some point in time before. My aunt & uncle ran a crazy golf course at cleethorpes about 20 years ago, I love it there I also saw Skegness & mablethorpe

On BBC Look North last week there  was a photo taken of the northern lights from somewhere near the humber bridge

That's on my bucket-list. I'm thinking of going to either Greenland or the far North of Canada to see them.

There was an amazing multi-coloured light here just before dusk last night and just after dawn this morning...so, maybe I nearly saw it?

Probably been to the crazy golf with my kids years ago - we've been here 24 years this December .

 

One of my sons is thirty this weekend - I just spoke to him on the phone and he said that he remembers well my thirtieth birthday (it's freaked him out a bit).

It's a clear sky in the north east tonight, if I'm still awake at midnight I'll have a lookie out towards the north Happy 30th birthday to your son sooz

Suzy bean, I hope you go see Canada or Greenland both, I'm sure would be amazing!

I saw them once, when they came down to Durham, 1998 (ish), totally amazing.  

Mr summer saw them in Durham too cinds, he said he was about 10, so that's 19...? 26 years ago! Were they bright?! Were they pretty?!
