Night shift here in West Cumbria and it's the second biggest county... we can have as little as 6 police monitoring the whole area. Criminals have no fear, there is no police presence and emergency phone calls are joke, Our town population of 11/12 thousand doesn't have one policeman

Having to deal with cross border drug trafficking as well as other criminal activity like poaching and human trafficking no doubt. Those number may look huge, but when you break them down they are actually small. 100,000 would be a better figure.

There are the genuine one's and there are the frustrating ones where they are just hanging out with mates or boyfriends/girlfriends and not calling home/friends etc. A huge amount of resource is deployed for a MISPA, depending on circumstances.
