Hold on! A HANDBAG!!!! (one for the Oscar Wilde connoisseurs out there!)
I didn't buy it for her.
I have coats for my dogs when the weather is freezing.
That's the kind of thing I'm after (only bigger).
Thanks Cinds.
Woo, check you out Yogi. We're on Page 2 of your own thread!!

I know Rawky, it's exciting!
You never know, I might even start another thread - in the next couple of years.
How about this ??
How about this ??
What is that hat all about?!
My 10 year old German Shepherd has a pink 'princess' handbag, which she loves, but she draws the line at a dog coat. If looks could kill, I'd be a goner - so it's a towel dry and a warm room until she dries off properly after a walk, and in the meantime I worry myself sick that she'll catch a chill, or it'll make her old bones ache. She, on the other hand, doesn't give a damn. Gotta love dogs!

^^^^^ That's why I want to get her one.
An update: Mr Yogi has been persuaded that the coat is a good idea (basically he found out that they weren't as expensive as he thought ) and I shall be buying one for my baby dog this week.

oooh... let us know how you get on!
We have another slight issue when we get AJ one.. We use a harness for walking him (as opposed to a collar - which is basically useless, cos fat neck can just slip out of a collar).. so we're gonna have to work out if we can put the harness on over the coat.. or make some slight modifications so I can pop the D Ring through the coat for his lead to clip onto.

That might be a good solution, Ditty.
Don't talk about it if it upsets you, but do you have some idea when AJ will see the specialist?
I think coats are a good idea . I also heard of shoes for dogs [ no kidding - little slip on ones ] For icy winter mornings. Imagine going for a long walk through the frost or snow in your bare feet Doggies paws are quite tender so they must feel the cold.
I've seen dog bootees too.. the ones that police & rescue dogs wear when they have to go into areas that might have broken glass & stuff..
WARNING - contains bad language!
Soozy that made laugh out loud Aww that poor doggy is having a right strop!
Ditty thanks - bootees thats the word I was thinking of
