Nah that's a Maid of Honour The almond sponge cake thing was in the middle, and it was all gooey and moist and well just delicious

Really?  you MUST BE!!!    LOL, only kidding.    I get what people are saying about how you have gravy with roasties, and that makes sense,  yes......but for some reason, I just can't get on board with chips and gravy.  It just doesn't gel with me...  Ketchup yes, gravy no.  Especially if they're greasy chips YUK!  Must be psychological.

The Bakewell Tart, not to be confused with the Bakewell Pudding, is a shortcrust pastry with a layer of jam and a sponge filling with almonds. The Bakewell Pudding on the other hand is a flaky pastry, with a layer of jam and an egg and almond filling. The tart then can be covered with a layer of fondant. Only the pudding originates from the Derbyshire town of Bakewell[
