I cry more at joyous events, when my heart fills with pride and emotion takes over me. The last time I wept like a baby in public was this July when my younger son went to his primary school leaving service a year early (he left in year 5 instead of year of year 6) because he'd won a scholarship to a secondary school. His older brother had always been the main focus for most of his life because of health problems, and my younger boy had plodded away without complaining or attention seeking. I just felt so proud to know the little fella, let alone be his mum.
