A few were missed after Seattle changed things Supes. You have to go to the other livecloud place (forget what it`s called) and check your alerts for birthdays. I didn`t go there often and missed a couple of pal`s birthdays so they never got their threads...well they got belated threads.  Lori noted this was happening so that`s why they brought it here.

I like the calendar at the top, it`s handy, but I`m not keen on the side panel.

Scotty

The calender above should be sufficient really. My "problem" with it is, that a few FM,s , i imagine will be waiting for others to post the birthday thread to the person, and it will either not get posted or there could be 3 or 4 threads at the same time !
It does take away , the surprise element tho.
You can, of course remove yourself from the list, as someone said.

If you click on 'Full Calendar you sometimes get more than just birthdays, but I don't really like the way it's done/where it's put.

Yes, but some wastes of space are less annoying to some, than others.

I still find Nikki Grahame an annoying waste of space.

You haven't changed your mind yet Petercat?  Its been a while now, hasn't she grown on you at all?

I end up reading the names and wondering where most of the old FMs went

They all went to a happy land far far away.  Much like the hedgehog I rescued the other day and brought it home to show the smalls.  It managed to hang around long enough to be admired in the cardboard box house I made for it then quietly shuffled off when it was dark and the kids were asleep.  So I took it down the lane and left it under the hedgerow.  I was upset by its passing but as far as the kids are aware it has gone back to the great woodland far far away.  I suppose it was safe under the blanket in the box for its final hours but I would have liked to save it.  But when they are gone, gone they are.  Much like the 1000 members that went before.  When their time is up they leave.  Sad really.  Perhaps we could do more to make them stay, perhaps we can't.

Now that story is sad

oh I can see a joining of threads here cause most of the 'missing' are on FB. Quite happy & oblivious to us here in GAGAJOYJOY land. It does make me too a little sad to see so many that we have lost along the way. But then seeing their names also makes me remember the laughs they used to give me & others.

A lot of people refused to come in the first place, several others wouldn't come because OTHER people didn't like it. A third batch came and then left because they didn't like how it looked amd/or functioned at that time....and so on, so there are a lot of people out there who do actually know we're here, but for various reasons won't even visit us, let alone come back.

Yeah, but I'll have to wait a full year because they did this JUST AFTER my birthday this year!

P.S. I'm not really bothered.
