The last time I got my daughter's hair done(last year March), she got an Extenso treatment (was quoted £60) and also a cut and blow dry.
The total cost £120 (included a product, some sort of serum, as well)....I daren't ask why!!
ps She was 13 at the time too!
My daughter wants the treatment again!

I have a lady who comes to our house and cuts our hair - she does me my husband and 19 yr old son for £20!
When I was that age I used to 'model' for the trainees for a free cut....always got a good cut - they just did it slower. I remember one gorgeous bloke who would rest his crotch against you as he cut it....ooooh it was thrilling - half the school would go to him!!!
I'm so glad I don't have a daughter

lol yeah ... £23 is a bit steep
My daughter had her hair cut at toni & guy about a year ago .... I'm sure it cost around the same price but it did look lovely.
I now use a mobile hairdresser whom I know quite well ... she only charges me £35 for cut .. colours (half head) .. and a blow dry .... I'm more than happy with that
I can honestly say that the one group of people that I wasn't sorry to see suffer in this recession has been the 'swanky' salons. Not the little local hairdressers but the bigger ones that charge what they like. How on earth do they come up with their prices. Utterly outrageous.
My kids are very lucky. They have a hairdresser for a mum

If I had kids I would have used the salad Bowl and the kitchen scissors.
I use my local hairdressers, wash my hair myself and it costs me 7.50 and she does a brilliant cut, why bother going any where else?
i'm lucky with my 15yr old, she has an auntie with her own salon and nail bar she has nails, teeth gems and highights and it costs me nothing
It's outrageous what they charge nowadays. £45 up here for a no frills cut and blow. I met my best mate when she was my hairdresser. She comes to my house and does it now, I usually give her a tenner.

I cut my kids hair or my friend who is a mobile hairdresser does them when she comes to do mine. I dye my own hair though as it's too expensive to keep paying £40 just to have the roots done!
