Ev - I've never owned a pair of straighteners - and last used a hairdryer over 20 years ago.    Wash, condition, mousse, dangle head upside down, shake.   Let it dry naturally for a bit and fluff with fingers.      I used to hate my hair, but we've reached an uneasy truce now sometimes I even like it.

Saz.. I have a FB account but don't really use it much...where do I look?

Well that is just not allowed!!!   It's all about hair so it's all relevant.

Re your curly hair....I have a mate who has the curliest hair I've ever seen and I've tried to straighten it for her before so I don't envy you having to do that!  She's lucky her cousin is a hairdresser so she gets it straightened on occasion and it makes here look soooo much different it's weird.

Drying hair is a chore!!  I hate it and only usually give it a quick blast if I'm not going anywhere and just let the rest dry naturally.  Drying and straightening my hair usually takes about 45 mins (it's very thick and was very long til yesterday) but I've discovered that curling it is actually a lot quicker and it looks nicer.

The best haircut I ever had was in Turkey. This really young bloke was so talented. I went to him because all my friends raved about him. He cut my hair using a cut-throat razor, he never once went for the scissors. He cut loads and loads off and was but i still ended up looking like I had more hair. That style was perfect, I used to get out of a pool and without even touching it, it would fall into the perfect position.  Maria is the best since him.

Good barbers seem to be good to find El loro!!  I take my 2 boys to whichever barber is most convenient at that time but they always seem to make a pigs ear of it.  There is one barbers in town who have the best barber I've seen.  He is incredibly busy though and there's usually at least 8 people waiting for him when we go in.  He takes aaaaaaaaaages to do one cut but he likes perfection and I have to say his cuts ARE perfect.  He charges a fiver each for the boys so is also one of the cheaper ones.

Lovely colors in those pics, go for it!! Curly hair is harder to cut, but you have to listen to what your client wants and be patient & thorough while working on it! I personally love cutting hair, and do each person as if it were my own haircut, so make sure I do a good job. Bad hairdressers wind me up, they give the rest of us a bad rep
