Everything about it

Mine too, Chicken. My DiL and future DiL are the same.
On the other hand it's only 10/11 months to June.
5 months till christmas!!!
Noooooooo! *runs away and hides* TWIRLY!
I love xmas but not TOO early (like now!). I have thought about the kids pressies though and have been pricing them and wondering wat else to buy. Will start actually buying in Sept.
I often have dreams that it's xmas morning....the kids wake up and run down stairs and there's nothing there! I've forgotten that it's xmas and forgot to leave the pressies out I wake up in a whole panic then realise it's still Summer
149 days to go! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas too! And I don't understand why some people hate it. 'Oh it's so mainstream and commercialised...' Doesn't have to be if you don't want it to be. Its a great excuse to have a holiday and some quality time with your immediate famil: I love the telly, the grim dark days, the lights, the decorations, the whole atmosphere and everything!
Crimbo day and boxing day are for me and hubby and the girls and no-one else though. Wouldn't want to be at anyone else's house, or have anyone else at time. Love to spend new year with extended family and friends though...
I'm not saying I don't like it Sparkles, it's just far too early to be even mentioning it. Some of us haven't even had a summer holidays yet.
Oh no, I know that sprouty I wasn't on about you or anyone on here sweetie. In fact, I didn't even realise you had posted on here, because I skip-read the thread and didn't see all the posts...Just some people I know who seem to hate it with a passion, and they are the ones I am on about.
Apologies if my post made it look like you were referring to me specifically. I was just replying in general to your post
Awww, don't apologise Sprouty! It's OK. I just wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't aiming anything at you or anyone here.

Because for some people it is the loneliest time of the yr.. while others are off with friends and family having a great time . .or trying to have a great time cos it's compulsory apparently, and constantly whittering on about hwo great it is, or will be, and all their pressies an food and stuff there are those that don't have friends or family around them anymore and don't have the spare cash to splash out or to even save up to splash out later in the yr. .so perhaps some of us bah humbugs prefer not to be reminded of that time of yr quite so early...
we have to put up with being bombarded with it all over the place for at least 2-3 mths before. .give us a break for a bit please..
*sits in bah humbug corner *

that would be me then
I'm a Christmas freak too!! I even do my ironing to crimbo songs all year round!! My fave film ever is Muppets Christmas Carol
Summer...I have already made a start on my hand made cards I have about 200+ to make...more if I get extra orders and I can only do a few a day now that I am working again....I bet I don't get them all done in time and will be up til all hours doing them!!!!!
I would put the tree up tomorrow if MrB would let me!!!!
I'm a fan of Christmas .....................actually I really love it - but - I really don't want to spend half the year looking forward to it .............too much 'pre' stuff dilutes it IMO. First week of December is early enough for me TBH - the tree goes up the weekend before Christmas. Christmas is lovely but ..............it spoils it to go on and on and on and on for months on end IMO. There is a lot more to the year - isn't there?

Winter....(trying to think)......looking forward to....
Spring......Easter....Picnics before the wasps....
Summer....Moaning that it is to hot or to wet....picnics with a few wasps...
Autumn...Picnics with a load of wasps....kicking leaves.........looking forward to.....
Halloween, Bonfire Night.......
CHRISTMAS!.......Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
I also don't want to spend most of the year counting it down or wishing it here now, or / and wishing the months away.
Enjoy each month for what it is, it'll get here before you know it.
But i still remember exciting Stonks with the christmas tree pictures, and that was almost worth having to read about Christmas in June
