Altogether now... Yay!

I find this hard to believe Rawky as there has been no official statement from C5 yet. I think we should wait till there are announcements on the Live feed.

I would read this Ditty for future parties etc.

Warning
Inhaling Helium can also result in serious lung injuries and/or suffocation. Do not inhale Helium from a balloon or a Helium tank under any circumstances!
-------------------------------------------------------------
It's not the helium ,as such, that is the danger. It's removing the oxygen from the lungs and the risk of pressure damage to the tissue of the lungs.

Helium is used as an additional gas source in technical diving. Divers using heliox gas mixes can use full face masks with microphones and sound like cartoon characters when talking.

Don't let kids breath the helium from balloons to be on the safe side. There is quite a lot of pressure in some of the commercially supplied balloons and if a child had a lung weakness that wasn't known about, the consequences could be severe
------------------------------------------------------------------

It is the depletion of oxygen that can cause brain damage.
Helium is too dangerous to play with, as any gas not containing enough of oxygen, besides that they can also be poisonous.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Comedy television and radio programmes often use helium as a device to get laughs. This portrays helium inhalation as a fun, safe practice when, in effect, it is deadly. Public figures are influential in the minds of the public and they need to realise that they could either die from helium use or be indirectly responsible for the death of another.

BOC Gases is deeply concerned about the misuse of Balloon Gas and is going to great efforts to inform the public that helium inhalation can be fatal. Unfortunately with people continuing to ignore the dangers of this potentially lethal practice, it is a difficult task to educate the public that HELIUM INHALATION IS NO LAUGHING MATTER!

I let it go down naturally as far as it could (mind you took about 2 months)  and then thought I'm sick of seeing it lying around so I punctured it

They have. But I haven't!

I used to have Sky, but got rid cos I rarely watch TV and it seemed a waste of money. I now just have freeview, but through a sky box. About a year ago they changed the settings (or summat) and even if you weren't a subscription customer you needed to buy a new updated sky card to receive all the freeview channels. Cos I rarely watch anything but E4, and E4 wasn't effected by the change......I never bothered getting round to buying the card. Until I do I won't be able to watch C5. It's never seemed much of a loss before

Ducky you can put ch5 in yourself....here is the frequency....10773H 220005/6

With your digibox turned on, press the "Services" button (near the top of the remote).

Select number 4 (System Setup), and then 4 again ("Add Channels").

In the appropriate fields enter the following (you move through the fields using the up and down arrow keys).

In the Frequency field enter: 10.773,

The next three fields are toggle fields, i.e. using the left and right arrows will change the value.

Toggle Polarisation to : H
Toggle Symbol Rate to: 22000
Toggle FEC to : 5/6

Then select the last button - Find Channels.

After a few seconds the channels should appear. The channels on this frequency should be - BBC One London, BBC Two England, BBC News 24, BBC Four, CBBC, CBeebies, BBC Three, BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC Radio Cymru.

Use the Yellow button to place a tick beside each one you wish to store and when you've finished ticking press "Select". These channels will now be stored.

You can view them by pressing the "Services" button, then 7 "Other Channels" (Other Channels is option 9 on Sky+ and Sky+ HD), use the arrow keys to move to the channel you want and press "Select".
