Yes, I saw that. Although he hasn't (as far as I'm aware) written anything directly incriminating, Piers "Morgan" Moron's book does contain some rather supicious passages, and my guess is that Mensch simply misremembered some of them.
I do think Moron is playing a very dangerous game by fighting back at Mensch, though. As Private Eye has pointed out repeatedly, there have been a lot of stories from colleagues and even Moron himself that - if hard evidence turns up - could very easily put him in the same position that Rebekah Brooks was in where there are only two possibilities: either he was complicit, or else he was incompetent. And of course when it comes to Moron, we've been here before: the Mirror shares scandal.
And guess who's come out of the woodwork recently to claim that celebrity stories at the Mirror were often the result of phone hacking? James Hipwell...
Moron may have a defence, though, and oddly it comes courtesy of the Eye. His published diaries (as the Eye has had great fun recently pointing out) are chock-full of inaccuracies (e.g. claiming to have had tea with Tony Blair at No. 10 while John Major was still PM), so he could perhaps just claim that any incriminating passages were misremembered...
