yeah, I have a large box when I am quoting too.      if I take too long to type my post, my box does start shrinking, right in front of my eyes!

Just switched on Chrome for this. OS is XP.

And as I type the huuuge blank space under the quoted box shrinks with every key stroke, until it is the normal size.

Went to the Sinking Ship still using Chrome, the quoting seems to be ok there, but the 1st page is a bit out of sinc. the other pages seem ok.

I think it's only happening when you first log in, Maybe if you log out then in again.....?

Well, that makes  NO sense....but I tried it anyway.

No big space.

It seems to be random, sometimes it's big , sometimes it's not ..

I've been logged on all day, but sometimes mine gets hoooge and sometimes it's all shrivelled.

I'm on Windows Vista, using Chrome. 

So is sprout. So much for her theory that it was  the XP/Chrome combo.

FYI, I'm on XP 5.1 Service Pack 3, Chrome 12.0.742.122.

I think I DID see a glimmer of the screen shrinking...but it wasn't particularly big to start with.

Yep , it's going humungous nearly every time I quote .

Jeeez, that last one was extra large!  

I only ever got it big the very first time I used Chrome and it shrank as I typed my message. Every other time it was OK. I'm back onto FF now

Mine says XP Home Edition Version 2002, with service pack 3.

I saw it very large the first time and it visibly shrank a line at a time with every keystroke.
