I went mountain biking around Burrator today, beautiful area of Dartmoor I suggest you all visit it if you can, and the weather was pretty splendid.

However, tonight I seemed to have acquired some sun burn, but its a bit odd. Not so much looking, but where it is.  I have some pink bits, on my arms, between the area of where my t-shirt sleeve ended an only up to my elbow. Weirdly my forearms are completely untouched (probably from the manly hair that grows on them). I have some on the back of my neck too, I was wearing a cap so my noggin/face was protected.

It feels slightly warm, but not sore or itchy, you reckon after sun is the best way forward?  Will have to buy some tomorrow.

But what would you say is considered bad sun burn?

And yes I will put cream on the next time i go out, I've learned my lesson

From the many sunburn relief solutions we should start with aloe vera as this is probably the best reputed soothing agent known for such skin crisis conditions. Not only will it soothe the symptoms but it will also speed up the healing process. If you do not wish to use a cosmetic product with aloe vera extract you can make your own gel directly from the plant. Sunburn relief is noticeable within minutes with an increase in comfort as the aloe gets to function in the deeper tissues. Make sure to dab the gel in the skin and not rub it as you risk to aggravate your condition even more.

Another natural sunburn relief consists in the application of black tea compresses on the skin-affected portions. The efficiency of such a cure is explained by the incredible action of the tannin acid in the tea in the healing process. The tea should be just warm so that the sunburn relief is felt immediately; yet, the compresses must be kept on for at least half an hour. The redness and the soreness of the skin will disappear after just one simple application of this home remedy. Though the pain will be gone, do not expect anything to work against skin peeling; such a process is inevitable if we consider that burnt skin is dead skin.

Last time I went under the sunbed I got BAD sunburn.  My arse cheeks were raw and my thighs were so burnt I couldnt wear any clothes. Under my boobs was toasted and my face was so sore I couldn't smile or laugh without if feeling like my skin was coming off.

Lesson learned.  I'm like a milk bottle these days but would rather that than the few days of hell I experienced.
