So she's decided to be a reporter rather than a professional sports star Aimee?

Could she not carry on with the sports and keep the journo stuff as back up when she finishes her career?

I know from what you've said over the years that she has loads of talent and commitment and we desperately need young women for our sports teams who have that skill and drive.

As for the Dad stuff, let them work it out between them. From what you've said in the past your Dad has been much more of a male role model to her than her Dad. It's for her to define her relationship with him and how she wants to deal with him. Don't let him put the guilt trip on you if she chooses to treat him in a cool way

She's still carrying on with the sport Veggie, she got offered this course and  thought it was too good to misss, hopefully she will be going to the games as well it all help's too make her CV look good

I keep out of the arguments between her and her dad now she is old enough too make her own decision's, i do think it's sad though  he has bought it all on himself though

she's 17 this year and they've never really got on, i've tried over the year's to get them too sort it out only for him too let her down again, this time she found out he'd got engaged, had an engagment party and never even mention he'd asked his girlfriend to marry him to my daughter, as you can imagine she was a tad pee'd off

i was more than a tad pee'd off when my parents moved house and never told me their new address and phone number for about a couple of months !

machel

That's not nice Machel  Poor you

Aimee. glad she's keeping all her options open. She's going to be a big success that girl of yours.

He's going to be the loser in all this, anyone would be proud to be her Dad.

My boys grew up without their dads around either and they have turned out well. Hurtful for you as a parent though when you see the other parent hurting your kids through their uncaring attitudes
