There I was going through a thread tryna find out what crawled out on to someone's floor and up popped a humungous piccie of a spider

Aww they are not evil. We were raised to believe it was a sin to kill a spider as they help to keep the eebil germ spreading fly population under control
I do put them outside but never ever kill or harm them - and I love watching a spider spin a web. It's so therapeutic
Funnily enough, both of my (large, adult) sons are scared of spiders and yet I never showed them any kind of fear of insects.
Must be inate (sp) I guess

I hate, hate, hate spiders, mainly because some huge black thing crawled into my mouth when I was ten and asleep. My mother came to my rescue when I screamed my head off and took it out into the garden, I ended up in hospital with jaundice. Never ever got over it.
