 It was the size of half of an egg and magnetic - it clipped onto a cooking pan, and using induction technology would heat the contents of the pan. No more need for hobs - totally mobile cooking.

 

 I could think of so many benefits ......particularly after having spent so many wet summers camping with kids, or preparing food at home for parties for far more people than my kitchen was equipped for.
