Hmmm, most ladies here are not particularly overweight.. Surprised to hear that, seeing as how approx 40% of us are supposedly obese, depending on which statistics or 'facts' you look at.  Anyone telling porkies?    Or is there generally just a slim bunch of peope on here?

Here's just one news story, but the upshot is that lots of peeps are a bit podgy.

Not sure how old you are now or how old you were 20 years ago Croc, but I know at 15/16 I was a size 10 to 12, and 9 stone to 9 st 4... and I had some skinny jeans (this was about 1989,) and they fit perfectly... Well these jeans went into the attic with some other stuff.... then around 1999/2000 when I was about 25/26, I was still around 9 st to 9 st 4, and these jeans wouldn't go past my hips! Yet I was the same weight. And I was most comfortable in a size 14. (I am 5 ft 6.)

Basically, I think your body shape has changed Croc. So although you may be the same weight now roughly, the same clothes won't fit you........because your shape has changed a bit.    Although sweet summer may have a point about the clothes too......
