At 0830 on a bank holiday morning?
My neighbours do apparently.
What a flipping racket. Times must be hard as they have a local firm doing it for them. The noise is terrible.
They could have waited another hour at least

Oh dear... what a silly time to do that! Some people eh?!
Yeah, but it might not have been their choice. Maybe it was in imposition on them too.

I hope that is the case which is why I am not shouting about it...
I may ring the company though
On the other hand, they are the customers, they could have insisted on a later time..
Unless it is a rented house, in which case you are right, they have no choice
Lol I know Joe.
Maybe their windows needed replacing though?
Private firms don't take the bank hoilidays,my niece's partner is a joiner etc and he's working normally today. The houses getting renovated around me (mine soon I hope) are housing assoc, and the local council has the contract to do them up,they've not been on site since Thursday.

That's fair enough Kitty - but I do wish we could have been given some warning - thats all.

half 8 in the am is waaay to early-im not even allowed to fire the vac up until after 7am, OH says it might bother the neighbours-who are as deaf as posts anyway
My sympathy's to you Issy. We have close neighbor's that party at all hours in the back garden. The volume of the music is louder than our TV through double glazing. I feel your anger.
i would be up anyway.... doggy sees to that, she sits on me until i get up
When they were doing the windows in our street a few weeks ago they were in the houses working away at 8am every morning. They knocked at my door at 7:50 one morning and said they wanted to get a start but I told them they had no chance of getting into my house til 9am when the kids were at school. They weren;t too happy but getting kids out to school with 5 workmen in the house and no blinds on the windows wasn't appealing to me!
