I had a little debate earlier with my mum and it got me wondering..

Do you have separate rubber gloves for washing up and cleaning?

I do! and I use disposables for loo cleaning

I asked where I could find the gloves to wash up, and she said "in the bathroom, I did the bath earlier"

she did say she doesn't use them for the loo- but I don't like the idea of washing food items knowing the gloves have cleaned a bath plugging..

What do you folks do?!

bare handed for washing up.

disposable latex gloves for any other job thats a bit icky...

and for chopping chilli's (without them I always end up with chilli burn on my face... no matter how much a wash my hands)

and for bathing the dog (tried to use marigolds once, as didn't have any latex gloves in the house...  the poor dog yelped when I tried to wash his bum..    they were too thick for me to distinguish between 'dirt'  and his actual bumhole)

hmmmm...  probably too much information there... but if it saves just one dog from having his bumhole nipped it will have been worth it

I have sensitive hands... warm water BURNS!!! And aside from being a wuss with hot things.....I can't cope with anything yucky on my hands either, so I use rubber gloves for everything!

I'm not OCD.....I couldn't give a crap about germs.... I just have very heightened gag reflexes where my hands are concerned.

(seperate gloves for kitchen and bathroom btw)

I use rubber gloves for the washing up so I can have the water as hot as possible, I couldn't stick my hands in without the gloves and I hate the feel of cleaning products on my hands, makes my skin feel really dry so I use them for cleaning too

I find the rubbery gloves go into hot water, give you a false sense of coolness, then hold the heat....my hands dip into the water and leave when it is to hot....

^^^ for me, rubber gloves come into that category!      I never stick my hands down the loo though... I use disposable wipes for the seat and as far down as the rim and scoosh Domestos under the rim and leave it to work - i have no need for scrubbing the bowl.   I should have shares in domestos me - I love it.

I've been wearing some of those disposable latex gloves over the last week or so while I've been decorating but don't usually wear rubber gloves for housework unless I'm cleaning the oven.

I was a cleaning lady for years in lots of different houses where I would always use rubber gloves for the loo cleaning, but every single house I worked in had seperate gloves for cleaning and washing up.

It's minging to use toilet gloves on washing up I reckon
