I agree Katty.  I think he's inherited the very worst features from both of his parents.  Mind you, the royal family aren't exactly known for being stunnas, are they!  At least the gene pool might improve a bit now that Kate has married into the family.

I've not read all the replies. 3 pages is too much to read through lol. Some of my fave moments are when Kate stepped out of her car and we saw her dress for the first time, the dress was beautiful and she looked absolutely stunning. I loved the trees in the Abbey, they softened it but I love trees anyway lol. Seeing how everyone who visited London whether Brits or the many from other countries how much they loved all the pomp and ceremony of the day, some Brits may be used to that but I loved that those from overseas witnessed something that may not happen in their own country. I also loved that the couple drove away afterwards in a car that had the "just married" and balloons like so many other couples have. It was a briliant day and so nice to have a day where the news was just filled without negative and depressing stuff that we've seen for soooo long, I actually thought of the Newscasters and how it would be for them to talk about something happy and positve for once.

I think that the wedding of William and Kate is one of the most delightful things I have ever seen, and it will stay with me forever.  Everything about it was perfect, and the fact that everything about it was genuine made it wonderful too.  Especially the love between William and Kate.  I LOVED seeing them, and their little glances towards each other were a joy to see.  NOTHING was false about them, and their love is very real...  Many people I know actually had a wee tear in their eye....Also the sheer community spirit of the British public was a joy to see; almost everyone I know absolutely LOVED it and our whole street who came to the party (about 150,)  loved every minute.

We enjoyed our party thoroughly, apart from ONE couple who insist that they detest the Royal family.   Every now and again however, they couldn’t resist looking out and having a peep.   I would bet a month’s salary that they regretted not attending, especially HER, as HE was the one who does most of the ranting, and he is the one who always refuses to go to any kind of celebrations or parties....

We have had about half a dozen parties/barbeques in our part of the street since November, for peoples 40th and 21st birthdays and new year, and the Royal wedding of course, and they never come...  I could not even imagine what kind of life this woman has with this boyfriend of hers...being kept from ANYthing that is ‘fun.’  He even refuses to have a Christmas tree up or any decorations...  because he hates Christmas.... They aren’t married of course, even after 10 years together, because it’s ‘just a piece of paper..’’ and they wouldn’t ‘conform to the masses..’  There is no way in the WORLD I would ever choose to stay with a man like this, but each to their own eh?

Although 98% of the people at my workplace love the Royals; there are a couple of people with a similar attitude: extreme left, anti-establishment, bashing ANYone who loves the Royals, demanding to know why, and telling them ‘why’ they shouldn’t like them!  You know what; I don’t have to explain why I love the Royals to some spiteful little ‘extreme left’ militant grumpy old git, who sneers at me for being a Royalist!  I LOVE our Royal family and so does much of the rest of the world.....  whether people like to admit it or not!   And the behaviour of the British people on that day in London was impeccable, and the whole world saw that, and it makes me proud to be British.  Anyone who is STILL detests the Royals, after this amazing event on 29th April 2011, needs help.

Fortunately, the tide seems to be turning, and I notice a lot less people with this irksome ‘extreme left’ attitude now.  You know, the Royal-bashing types, who often hate everything including Christmas because it’s so commercialised,’ and often they hate marriage too.  And they accuse anyone of not agreeing with their bonkers leftie views, of being a bigot, a racist, a homophobic, or a Daily Mail reader, (LOL!)   These people think it’s OK to sit and laugh and raise a glass when a Tory MP or Prime minister is ill or dies, but think it’s sickening and disgraceful to say anything negative about Labour MPs or ex Labour Prime ministers!....

As I said though; this annoying leftie kind of person who always INSISTS on telling you why you should agree with them, is a dying breed.  (From what I can see anyway... )  Even on this board, people are supportive of the Royals much more than they are bashing them.. (Much to the annoyance of the tiny handful of anti Royalists LOL!)  Let’s face it: the Royals are just a bunch of people who didn’t CHOOSE to be in that position, and to slag them off and be so vile, to the extent that ‘some’ people are, is just pathetic, and to me, these people are just jumping on the leftie bandwagon.

That stupid programme ‘Ten O Clock Live,’ did nothing but slate the Royals for the last 3 shows, and frankly, it just got boring.  I am not even sure that they even believed what they were saying: they were just trying to be ‘cool’ and ‘hip’ and ‘down with the kids...’  (One of the most annoying type of person IMO, and the sort I cross the street to avoid....)  Most younger folk I know however, actually really like the Royals, and thoroughly enjoyed the wedding, and are huge fans of Wills and Kate, and as I said this narrow minded, petty, Royal bashing, ‘anti-establishment’ type of person is a dying breed.

In many ways, the extreme left is as bad as the extreme right: both mocking and bashing anyone that does not agree fervently with their ludicrous extreme views, and not accepting that people just MIGHT have a different opinion to them, and making the same stupid ‘you sound like a daily mail reader’ type remarks, along with their limited and narrow-minded vocabulary, and getting angrier and rantier and shouting when people have the nerve to say something they don’t agree with.  And their spiteful and childish ‘what have the Royals ever done for me’ kind of stance is just nauseating...

Just my humble opinion of course!!!  Off out for the day now.  Have a lovely day everyone.
