The iconic Big Brother eye logo will still be used when the show starts on Channel 5, it has been revealed.

According to the Daily Star, a deal has been struck with artist Daniel Eatock, who worked on all the Channel 4 idents, to create a new eye for the upcoming series of the reality show later this year.

The new eye will apparently be representative of the programme's planned "decadence" theme

However, producers have apparently not yet decided whether they will reuse Paul Oakenfold and Andy Gray's popular Big Brother theme tune.

"Big Brother will return this summer but expect lots of changes. All we can say is - watch this space," said a show rep.

Celebrity Big Brother will air for the first time on Channel 5 in August. A traditional non-celebrity series will follow in September.

Hmm, I've always like the eye designs...apart from the BB 8's and last series.  Not having the same music could be a bad choice though. I still remain pessimistic though

Here's some more:

Channel 5's first series of Big Brother will have a "playfulness and decadence" theme, claims a report.

The Richard Desmond-owned broadcaster signed a two-year-deal for the Endemol reality series yesterday, which means that the programme will return in August with an "all-star celebrity" format.

According to the Daily Express, which is also owned by Desmond, the Big Brother house will have a "dramatic" makeover following its move to C5.

The house will apparently now include a public telephone so contestants can speak to loved ones, while "regular champagne parties, games and tasks" will ensure the housemates are kept entertained and busy.

Myleene Klass and Emma Willis are the early frontrunners to replace Davina McCall as the host of the reality series.

I wonder if thats the theme for the celeb version or both. A public telephone? What a stupid idea. Still remaining pessimistic

Please, please, Dog, it will not be Myleen who is the host.I am sick of seeing her and her smirky face on nearly every channel on the blinking telly. She is quite a rubbish host, and an even worse interviewer. When she filled in on this morning she was dire.Emma isn't too bad, I don't mind her.

but I too don't want them to change the music, that is all part of the BB experience along with eye.

That concerns me.....it's not going to be like proper back to basics BB, is it?

If it's going to be called Big Brother, then they need the eye, and the music, and a presenter like Emma Willis who is enthusiastic and into the programme, in tune with the contestants and fans.

And no contact with the outside world!

I think it really depends on access they have had letters from home before but unrestricted access is a no no one person getting a 2 minute call every 4 weeks in the house would be a good prize the call would need to be earned but then there is still the worry they could be warned about stuff. At least with letters they can be checked for messages
