No they just distanced themselves from their other family members, I only knew my nan, the rest of her family and my grandads family I never met..

whenn you join anstesty you do your ancestry pedigree on there and you can print it off or buy the posh one....

Ooh, well done you two

I mailed my aunt (it's her fault I got started on all of this!), and she said that sometimes you have to post or bump your threads to get them noticed.  Also, try posting in as many sections as possible, for example:  Surname, location, county - spread yourselves around to gain as much attention - and chance - as possible.

Good luck, and if I can help at all, give me a pm or a nudge in here

Thanks for your invite for help xx

It's handy when you stumble upon someone like that, isn't it?   I've found our friends over the pond rather useful as they do like a bit of history...

Thanks I signed up last night and found records on the index for my dads birth, marriage & death, and found my grandparents marriage record.. But if want a copy of the certificate it costs you ÂĢ20+ per certificate to order one! It has the potential to be expensive if you need to order one for each relative you find; I have no idea how much info is on a marriage certificate I did have a reply already to my thread tho, hope she replies again!

I think it shows where they married, when, each of their age, "Condition" such as bachelor or spinster, their job such as clerk, their residence at time of marriage, their father's name and his job. It also shows who witnessed them signing the marriage register, and the name of the person who married them.
