awwww no...
Off Honshu again . Not good.
They're saying 78 miles north of Fukushima
There's mention of a second similar sized quake some 15 miles away and a smaller one in Mexico.
Although extremely serious, a 7.4 earthquake is less powerful than the 8.9 one. A 8.9 one is equivalent to 400 megatons of TNT. A 7.4 one is somewhere between 5 and 6 megatons.
Thanks El Loro Let's hope this one is also less destructive than the last one...
It's just been announced that the earthquake level has been reduced from 7.4 to 7.1 - that's equivalent to 1,5 megatons of TNT
theyre on about the buildings already been weakend by the first quake-and them japs are just going back into the clubs in tokyo..tell you what, theyre bloody brave lol
It's very close to the Tohoku quake epicentre. I hope the people are safe. It must make things even more difficult in the places they're trying to rebuild.
I'm hoping it'll settle down by the time I go out to Tokyo in July/August.
