It reminds me of special family times in my childhood - parties and get togethers - and my brilliant, darlin'  auntie used to sing this song. We've not had a party in a while but I bet she'd still be up for it! A lot of members of my family had a particular song and when I hear them now, I think of them. Great times, Glesga childhood, happy families, happy days - oh the banter...

I hope all is well with you Kaffy

I do a bit of sewing now and again and recently have made several pairs of curtains,  ebay is an absolute treasure trove for buying the fabric at brilliant prices if you're prepared to put a bit of time in to find what you want, (I can recommend one particular seller who is always worth checking out if you're interested) and the cost of good quality thermal lining is fab - even with the postage cost.

I have some lovely curtains now that I'd never have been able to afford in a million years at shop prices - so it's worth considering if you know of someone local who can make them up for you.

I don't find curtains  a boring subject at all Issy!

I recently went through the curtain saga i spent about 2 months trailing round every curtain shop in the county!!!! Its a blooming nightmare so i feel your pain!

It really is easy to take your curtains up though issy, dont be scared of it. Just buy them and hang them in place for a week or so, so that any creases fall out. Then sit on the floor and fold them under a cm or so off the floor and pin there.  Then when its all pinned just tack stitch them up from behind. Job done! ! !

I'm good thanks, Triggs.     Yes... we had those kind of nights over here on the east coast too.   Good times... and some songs still make me laugh (and cry) x
