Ooo it sounds nice Zazz..... I've just discovered pear cider, and I really like it...

My fridge ALWAYS has Koppaberg in it. Strawberry and lime is the best but mixed fruit is also good. 

if you like the pear cider...you should love these...honestly, really worth a try!!

Tesco have the strawberry and lime and the mixed fruit....3 for £5  I bought loads 

I luvs cider...of any description...well some of the vintage ones are especially nice.Asda used to stock a brand called "Katy" it was lovely, a full on appley cider with a kick.

It is lovely, dangerous tho as it does not taste of alcohol.. so i end up drinking until i realise my legs dont work....

Following an evening involving several gallons of farmhouse scrumpy in my late teens cider (like pernod) is off my "to do" list. BUT - I did have a slurp of a mate's strawberry and lime Kopparberg at Christmas and it was delish.  Probably because it didn't actually taste like cider and my insticntive gag reflex didn't kick in.

One remembers a brew called Merrydown back in the day. Not for nothing did it enjoy the soubriquet "knickers down!" Last time we were at the coast they were knocking out these fruit ciders at 3.5 poond apiece. Mrs Jer couldn't 't get enough of 'em.

This got me through my deformative years, in Kent. 

 

Mr summer is a fan of the kopperberg, good choice

My daughter swears by it - says its the nicest drink ever. I am not normally a fan of cider but I may give it a go.

Have you tried Crabbes Ginger beer? That is really great as well.

I have some memories of Merrydown. Mostly bad. That and White Lightning, Diamond White, Diamond Blush, Scrumpy Jack. Then I turned 18 and got all sophisticated and drank Martini

I lived there from the age of 7 til 18, but, as my family moved to Dorset, I haven't been back much.

 

Good memories, though. 

You must know of Chatham and surrounding sh!t pits areas... Mote park is one of my favourite places EVER to go for a walk and a bit of peace!!

 I never 'got around' the Medway Towns much, to be honest .

Just wherever the parties where, really. 

 

As for Mote Park, it's a wonderful place. I used to go swimming in the pool there and spent many a day wandering around, finding hollow trees, and just enjoying nature.

 

I can still remember one time, just lying in the long grass, on a beautiful day, and feeling totally at peace with everything. It's weird, but that is the one moment I always go back to, when I need to.
