Has anyone actually seen this?  Charlie Brooker, Jimmy Carr, Lauren Laverne (WHO?!) and David Mitchell...

It has elements of being slightly funny occasionally, but they must have so much chafing on their left ear, left cheek and left side of their head in general: with how far they all lean to the left...  I have NEVER seen a programme that is so far left wing.  And God forbid that anyone says anything that is even middle of the road, let alone leaning towards right wing views....

I'm neither left nor right wing, but I can't help thinking that if someone made a similar show that had views that were as 'extreme right,' as this show is 'extreme left,' it would be pulled after the first week.

Basically it 'would' be OK, but the utter leftyness of it makes it a load of bollox...

Anyone else seen it?

Yes, OP, I've seen it.  Lauren Laverne has been a singer in short lived indie band Kenickie a DJ for years and presented many arts and music themed programs.

I find it quite amusing and at times very funny although it is very patchy.  I also find the no holds barred debates with David Mitchell far more informative than listening to smug PR boys, Cameron or Clegg slime their way through interviews with sound-bites like 'maxing out the credit card'.

Mitchell and Brooker's angry man opinions witty and a different take on things rather than the usual right wing demagogues like Clarkson and Kelvin McKenzie who infest our media, spouting about 'political correctness gone mad' and the injustice of not being able to buy gooliwogs.  Brooker's had the Telegraph's Peter Oborne on his show and Oborne hates New Labour.

It's inevitable that when we have a government that economically is very right wing, that it will attract criticism.  I think at times like this centrist criticism can appear left wing.  Our government is extremely right wing and is pretty much making a mess of things.  It's also aimed at the younger viewer, who tend to be more left wing.

I quite look forward to it.
