Well I'm going to be honest, if i got 'offered' a place as a housemate I would be there to win the money no questions asked. Don't care about the fame, I just want the money...the experience would be all right I s'pose

Seriously though, £500,000 (if its true) for living in a house, taken part in tasks, twists and nominating people that get on you norks sounds like a dream to me.

I wouldn't apply, not even for the half mil. I have no interest in being famous.
But I think the prize boost is a good idea, maybe not half a mil but it needed to increase.....12 weeks on a 'gameshow' that made c4 millions was disgusting. Considering c4 did their best (editing and re-entering evicted HMs) to make some HMs lives hell, the prize was nowhere near big enough.
About time it was increased. C4 spent less and less on that show every year, and it showed. People in there chased "fame" because they knew they could earn as least as much as the prize money on the outside, from the trash mags.
Now, if Tyra Banks could just be persuaded that a "Wun Hundred Thowsand Dollar Contract" with Cover Girl just ain't what it's cracked up to be any more, compared to when the show started 15 years ago...
That prize fund would pay off my mortgage
